1. Give the details that matter
After you’ve written whatever you’re planning to publish, there will be more than just a few spelling and grammar errors to cut out. In order engage with your reader, your copy should be crafted in a concise and clean manner. You don’t want to jumble up your page with frivolous details.
If you’re writing a landing page that’s aimed to make your reader opt-in to your email list, focus on narrowing down your copy into sentences and paragraphs that show them why they’ll benefit from giving their email address to you.
When you become accustomed to writing less, it’s easier to hone in on what matters. Make sure that your writing doesn’t look jammed packed with features. Explain how your product or service will solve their problem and spell out the benefits they will receive when they work with you.
2. Craft a compelling story
People like to read about themselves. It’s a bit egotistical, but it’s true.
A reader wants to hear about someone like them doing something they wish they could do. This is where crafting a compelling story comes into play. You want the reader to connect with you and understand why their life will be better with your product or service.
Include testimonials that show why your customer’s life has been changed after they worked with you. Tell your potential customer what you do and how you help people who are like them.
It’s not unusual to see bloggers or online marketers going on and on about themselves. Oftentimes, you’ll come across small details that a writer thinks are important to a landing page or sales page, but aren’t important to the reader. Writing less means writing more about what actually matters to your potential customer before they buy from you.
3. Don’t be redundant
